i think by far the thing that touched me the most during my current persona 3 playthrough is the realisation after shinjiro dies. i complete his linked episodes, hung out with him in the evenings to unlock new abilities, but then he's gone. and i can't use those abilities anymore. so was it a waste of time?
maybe it was. but it reminds me, if someone you know dies, is all the time you once spent with them a waste? no, it is not. and i think that was a special detail in p3. i'm glad i spent that time with shinjiro and got to know him.
